What you will do

• Design and implement agent-based systems to enhance infrastructure deployment and operational workflows.
• Lead a small team while actively contributing as a hands-on individual contributor (IC).
• Apply AI-driven strategies to automate cluster bring-up, incident triage, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, networking, and cluster engineering teams.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and reliability of automated agents.
• Drive iteration of agentic systems from prototype to production environments.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background in distributed systems, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Experience building production automation systems or data-driven operational tooling.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco.
• Proven ability to operate as a hands-on IC while leading a small team.
• Experience applying AI, ML, or agent-based approaches to real-world systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills in complex and ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM-based systems and autonomous workflows.
• Background in infrastructure operations, SRE, or large-scale system deployment.
• Familiarity with telemetry, monitoring, and observability pipelines.
• Experience building internal tools for engineering productivity.
