TL;DR
PLC Software Automation Engineer (Embedded): Developing and enhancing control technology functions for wind turbine operational control with an accent on software specification, implementation on a programmable logic controller (PLC), and software documentation. Focus on software tests on the HiL setup in the software laboratory and on site at the wind turbine.
Location: Hamburg, Germany. Up to 8 days of mobile work per month.

What you will do
- Develop new and existing control technology functions for wind turbine operational control.
- Create software specifications and implement software functions on a programmable logic controller (PLC).
- Define test and acceptance criteria for wind turbine software qualification.
- Perform quality assurance through software tests in the software laboratory and on-site.
- Create related software documentation.
- Collaborate with various departments in an international environment.
Requirements
- Successfully completed technical degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or comparable.
- Professional experience in PLC software development according to IEC61131 is desirable.
- Experience in defining requirements for software functions.
- Good knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, Modbus TCP).
- Good knowledge of MS-Office and MS-Access; knowledge in Matlab/SIMULINK is preferable.
- Fluent English, German is a plus.
