What you will do

• Actively involved in firmware development for next-generation flash controllers and support the development of new functions.
• Specialize in an area of controller hardware specific firmware.
• Work on concepts on topics such as performance optimization, reliability, etc. and their realization.
• Work closely with the test team to achieve comprehensive firmware verification and validation.
• Support the stabilization phase of firmware releases including the analysis of test results.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering in computer science or a related field (BSC, MSC or equivalent).
• Open-minded and enjoy working in a team.
• Professional experience in the field of embedded software development is an advantage, but beginners are also welcome.
• Very good knowledge of the C programming language.
• Experience with microprocessors, the architecture of embedded systems, compilers and development tools for embedded software.
• Good written and spoken English: B2+ required and German skills are required.

Nice to have

• Linux kernel knowledge in the areas of block device and file system is a plus.
• Experience with specific host interfaces for storage devices (such as PCIe/NVMe) is an advantage.
