What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize core vector and information-retrieval algorithms such as HNSW and quantization.
• Solve complex performance and reliability challenges for large-scale production distributed systems.
• Develop hardware-specific optimizations utilizing SIMD, SSD, and GPU/CUDA environments.
• Collaborate across Core, Cloud, and Support teams to maintain high system quality.
• Lead technical design, mentor team members, and establish performance benchmarks within the community.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in building databases, search engines, or high-performance distributed/storage systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust with deep expertise in concurrency and memory safety.
• Strong technical background in either vector search, IR, or storage systems.
• Demonstrated ability to influence architectural decisions and provide technical breakdown for complex projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with hirify.global or similar NoSQL databases.
• Proven track record of contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
• Deep understanding of high-performance multithreaded systems architecture.
