Application Engineer – Ethernet Products (Graduate) (f/m/d) (Automotive Ethernet)

What you will do

• Provide technical application support for Ethernet switch and physical-layer products used in in-vehicle networks.
• Investigate customer questions through code and schematic reviews.
• Reproduce, verify, and debug software and hardware issues, including on-site customer support.
• Create application notes, white papers, FAQs, product training materials, and other customer-facing documentation.
• Contribute to reference designs, product demonstrators, and complete system solution packages with internal teams and external partners.
• Support technical trainings, workshops, conferences, trade fairs, and knowledge sharing within the automotive networking community.

Requirements

• University degree in Electronics, Communications, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Early-career profile with practical experience in hardware and embedded software development through university projects, internships, thesis work, or initial employment.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with Ethernet switches, Ethernet physical-layer products, and embedded microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of embedded software development, including C/C++, low-level drivers, and/or real-time operating systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and customer-facing skills.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the automotive market and automotive applications.
• Interest in hands-on debugging and learning automotive Ethernet technologies.
