What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for cloud infrastructure, GPU capacity, and high-performance computing resources.
• Lead procurement and vendor evaluation for GPU clusters, AI training infrastructure, and emerging compute platforms.
• Build and manage strategic vendor relationships with major cloud providers, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and utilization tracking.
• Drive cost transparency and identify savings opportunities across compute and infrastructure spending.
• Partner with engineering, AI/ML, and platform infrastructure teams to forecast demand and translate technical requirements into commercial agreements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and scaling initiatives for compute infrastructure investments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting rapidly scaling technology or research organizations in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or infrastructure procurement.
• Familiarity with GPU market, AI compute platforms, and hyperscaler landscape.
• Experience sourcing cloud infrastructure, enterprise technology, or data infrastructure.
• Strong vendor negotiation experience with large technology providers.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams and translate infrastructure needs into commercial agreements.
• Experience managing vendor contracts with significant spend ($5M+).
• Background in technology, AI infrastructure, cloud services, or data platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with procurement tools or spend management platforms.
• Understanding of AI/ML training workflows and how compute requirements scale with model size.
• MBA or relevant advanced degree.
