Embedded Software Senior Engineer

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Mossville, IL, USA. This is an onsite role requiring 5 days/week in the office.

What you will do

• Gather and analyze user requirements to define software specifications.
• Design, implement, and unit-test software modules for machine technology platforms.
• Resolve complex hardware, software, and application-level technical issues.
• Work with vendor-specific diagnostic tools and utilities to maintain system performance.
• Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver and maintain enhanced software products.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership for engineering team members.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in Mossville, IL, 5 days per week.
• Relocation assistance available to US-based candidates.

• Proficiency in C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, and Python.
• Experience with Git and software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Strong background in requirements analysis and technical troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, UDP/IP, SSL) and CAN/J1939.
• Familiarity with virtual machines and simulation environments.
• Experience with static code analysis and debugging tools like Lauterbach or GDB.
