Principal Software Engineer, Application Access Governance

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; hybrid workplace

Salary: $215,000–$250,000 annually

What you will do

• Analyze requirements and contribute to software design and architecture.
• Design and develop secure, scalable, multi-tenant enterprise identity solutions across AWS and Azure.
• Build new programs and maintain, refactor, debug, test, and deploy existing services.
• Develop documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Provide application expertise and technical support while following Agile, Scrum, and Kanban practices.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Principal Software Engineer in a SaaS company.
• Expert-level Java, Spring Framework, REST, and microservices experience.
• Strong experience with secure application development, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, CI/CD, Git, automated deployments, and continuous integration.
• Experience with unit, functional, and system integration testing, including JUnit, Maven or Ant, and IntelliJ or Eclipse.
• Experience with solution architecture, application development, delivery, process improvement, and increasing levels of technical responsibility.

Nice to have

• Experience with Groovy on Grails.
• Experience using AI development tools such as Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor in the software development lifecycle.
