What you will do

• Design, configure, and maintain billing solutions including invoices, taxes, proration, and subscription workflows.
• Build and maintain robust integrations connecting the platform with CRM/CPQ, payments, and tax systems.
• Partner in discovery workshops to translate business needs into technical designs, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across distributed systems with root-cause analysis and preventative fixes.
• Define logging, metrics, and alerts to improve observability and operational readiness for the billing ecosystem.
• Support agile delivery by contributing to sprint planning, estimating work, and maintaining Jira hygiene.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of related professional experience (or 3+ years with an advanced degree).
• Hands-on experience with billing or subscription platforms like Zuora, Chargebee, Stripe Billing, or Recurly.
• Strong background in integration fundamentals including REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, and idempotency.
• Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM/CPQ) and the impact of upstream processes on downstream billing.
• Experience with middleware/iPaaS tools like Mulesoft, Workato, or Boomi.
• Must be based in the United States and eligible to work without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with full lifecycle implementation of a billing platform.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition touchpoints and financial reconciliation.
• Exposure to checkout and payment processing concepts (SCA/3DS, tokenization).
