What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of senior and staff-level engineers by setting clear expectations and maintaining high performance.
• Own the architecture, system design, and long-term technical direction for core platforms.
• Engage directly in design reviews, prototyping, and resolving critical system issues.
• Collaborate with researchers and product teams to define development roadmaps and priorities.
• Hire, close, and mentor top-tier engineering talent into technical leadership roles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in building and scaling production-grade distributed systems.
• 3+ years of formal engineering management experience in high-growth environments.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco, California.
• Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.

• Experience managing senior or staff-level engineering cohorts.
• Background in infrastructure, systems engineering, or developer productivity platforms.
• Familiarity with AI/ML systems, data infrastructure, or high-performance computing.
