What you will do

• Design and evolve the architecture for AI agents, automation workflows, and RAG systems.
• Act as a hands-on technical lead, contributing to the codebase and building production-ready AI toolchains.
• Work directly with the founder to validate AI solutions with existing customers to solve real business pain points.
• Recruit, mentor, and foster a high-velocity engineering culture within a small, elite team.
• Act as the internal authority on AI, aligning with product and engineering departments on AI capabilities.
• Drive revenue through the successful implementation and integration of AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Staff/Principal Engineer or Technical Founder with strong leadership skills.
• Deep experience in backend architecture, distributed systems, and API design.
• High proficiency in LLM orchestration, AI agents, and data pipelines.
• Fluency in both English and German.
• Ability to translate business workflows into production-ready technical implementations.
• Must be located in Europe as the company does not offer visa sponsorship or relocation support outside the region.

Nice to have

• Experience in scaling ERP or complex enterprise SaaS products.
