TL;DR
Distributor Risk Lead (Fintech): Overseeing the end-to-end onboarding and ongoing oversight risk frameworks for Auto, Payments, and Retail Finance partners with an accent on designing risk-based models and embedding data-driven risk management. Focus on driving automation of workflows, improving operational resilience, and communicating complex risk analysis to senior stakeholders.
Location: Hybrid (must be able to attend the London office 2-3 days per week)

What you will do
- Design, iterate, and operate a risk-based onboarding model for distribution partners within clear, proportionate frameworks.
- Translate risk appetite into measurable metrics including KRIs, KCIs, and KPIs for senior governance.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to digitize and automate onboarding and monitoring workflows.
- Proactively identify and address weaknesses in onboarding and monitoring processes to enhance speed and resilience.
- Provide structured risk analysis and clear trade-off recommendations to support business growth.
- Lead and coach a team to protect throughput while ensuring effective risk management.
Requirements
- Deep experience in designing risk-based onboarding and oversight frameworks for third-party partners, intermediaries, or merchants.
- Proven ability to define and implement Risk MI, including thresholds and early warning indicators.
- Strong track record of collaborating with Product and Engineering to implement system-executable controls.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to explain complex risk topics to senior governance forums.
- Experience in people leadership, including coaching and performance management.
- Must be able to work from the London office 2-3 days per week.
