What you will do

• Design target data platform architecture on Azure Databricks, covering ingestion, transformation, and serving layers.
• Define data modeling standards, domain models, and medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Architect event-driven data ingestion patterns using Kafka, Azure Event Hub, and CDC.
• Establish Unity Catalog structures, including schema design and metadata taxonomy.
• Produce high-level architectural blueprints aligned with group data strategy.
• Ensure compliance with BCBS239, RDARR, GDPR, and EBA data governance requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data architecture within banking or financial services.
• Strong proficiency with cloud data platforms: Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog.
• Expertise in event-driven ingestion pipelines using Kafka or Event Hub.
• Familiarity with data governance tools like Collibra or Ataccama.
• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate (B2+) or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks MLflow and ML feature stores.
• Knowledge of Data Mesh architecture principles.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification.
