What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain AI-driven product features using LLM APIs.
- Build and optimize RAG systems including document parsing and retrieval pipelines.
- Develop scalable backend systems using FastAPI and modern Python tools.
- Create agent orchestration systems for complex, multi-step legal workflows.
- Build infrastructure for AI evaluations, benchmarking, and continuous monitoring.
- Collaborate with product and legal engineering teams to prototype and refine AI solutions.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work from Berlin, Germany (Hybrid role).
- Extensive experience integrating LLMs via APIs in production products.
- Proficiency with Python, FastAPI, and data science libraries.
- Strong understanding of software engineering and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience with modern AI developer tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript and frontend development.
- German language fluency.
