What you will do

• Lead the Live Game Organization: Oversee all aspects of Pokémon GO’s live operations.
• Define and Deliver Strategy: Partner with leadership to set long-term goals for engagement, retention, and monetization.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Build scalable processes for planning, executing, and measuring live events and content updates across global regions.
• Collaborate with The Pokémon Company: Align on brand, IP integration, and content approvals to deliver authentic Pokémon experiences.
• Champion the Player Experience: Maintain a deep empathy for player sentiment and advocate for healthy game balance and fun at every stage of planning.
• Mentor and Inspire Teams: Lead a multidisciplinary global team of Producers and Product Managers to deliver world-class live content.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in live service game development, including 5+ years in a senior leadership or director-level role overseeing operations for large-scale global titles.
• Proven success managing complex, cross-functional teams in a live service environment.
• Deep understanding of player engagement loops, economy management, and event-driven retention strategies.
• Strong analytical mindset with comfort interpreting data to guide creative and operational decisions.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across disciplines and partner organizations.
• Passion for Pokémon and hirify.global’s mission to connect people through real-world play.

Nice to have

• Experience working with major IP partners is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Japanese is a plus.
