What you will do

• Manage accounts payable and receivable for entities in Malaysia, the US, and Japan.
• Perform bank reconciliations, maintain fixed asset registers, and manage multi-currency transactions (MYR, USD, JPY).
• Coordinate with external bookkeepers, auditors, and tax agents to ensure timely statutory and tax filings.
• Operate and improve financial workflows within the proprietary Streamframe ERP, Xero, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Support compliance tasks including Malaysian SST, EPF/KWSP, and SOCSO obligations.
• Identify process gaps and integrate AI tools to automate routine reporting and data processing.

Requirements

• Must be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
• Proficiency in Xero for daily accounting operations and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills including complex formulas and multi-sheet reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and AP/AR processes.
• Experience navigating Malaysian statutory obligations (EPF/KWSP, SOCSO, SST, Income Tax).
• Must be open to actively learning and integrating AI and automation tools into daily finance tasks.

Nice to have

• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA(M)) in progress or completed.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or proprietary ERP systems.
• Exposure to US entity compliance or Japanese statutory filings.
• Familiarity with royalty accounting or IP licensing financials.
• Background in gaming, media, or creative technology companies.
