What you will do

• Lead a team of engineers working on tier 1 services.
• Partner with Product Leads to build features that help shoppers complete their mission and define long term vision and product strategy.
• Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of ad event processing system processing billions of advertising transactions daily.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance for tier-1 production services handling mission-critical advertising workloads across multiple AWS regions.
• Design fault-tolerant systems with appropriate circuit breakers, fallback strategies, and graceful degradation to maintain advertiser trust during system anomalies.
• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers working on advanced autonomous systems and agentic AI.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting of new and existing systems experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers.
• Experience with natural language processing and generative model architectures.
