Technical Consultant

TL;DR

Technical Consultant (Data Integration): Supporting customers in modernizing and integrating their IBM z/OS and IBM i environments with an accent on implementing logging, monitoring, and data-integration solutions. Focus on designing reliable data pipelines and enabling downstream analytics to maximize the value of hirify.global technology.

Location: 100% remote anywhere in the US. Preference for someone located in Eastern Standard time zone.

What you will do

• Install and configure hirify.global software on IBM z systems and IBM I systems.
• Educate customers and assist with presales demos and proof of concepts on hirify.global offerings and technology.
• Integrate and configure discovered data, event management rule and service mapping rules in ServiceNow.
• Configure and develop visualizations and alerts for mainframe and IBM i log data in Splunk, Elastic/Kibana/Grafana, etc.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assist and educate on challenges or needs to help evolve hirify.global technology.
• Scope and assist in the development of statement of works for professional services engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology‑related field or 5+ years of experience in database administration or mainframe modernization projects.
• Ability and willingness to support customer initiatives during occasional after‑hours or weekend work.
• Openness to working with IBM z/OS and IBM i systems, including learning legacy technologies.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in Linux, UNIX, or another command‑line‑driven environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with ETL or other data transformation/manipulation technologies.
• Programming or analytical experience in multiple areas such as SQL, JCL or REXX, RPG, C/C++, Java, UNIX shell scripting, Python, Regular expression processing.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Experience with visualization platforms (e.g., Splunk, Kibana) and CMDB/ITSM technologies such as ServiceNow.
