TL;DR
Enterprise Data Architect / Migration Expert: Migrating and maintaining Veteran Affairs data and analytics, including patient care and VA management, into the Microsoft Azure cloud with an accent on data integrity and architectural migration patterns. Focus on resolving data dependencies, collaborating with VA stakeholders, and ensuring data quality throughout the migration processes.
Location: Fully remote, located in the United States

What you will do
- Utilize Veteran Affairs–specific data and analytics expertise to support cloud migration and ongoing operations.
- Work with CDW, VISTA, and Oracle Health data in support of VHA analytics service lines.
- Conduct in‑depth data analysis to identify architectural migration patterns and resolve data or system dependencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, group practice managers, VA ADPACS and CACs, OIT technical staff, CDW technical staff, and VA leadership at all levels.
- Support technical architecture planning and ensure data integrity throughout migration processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's with 12+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional expertise.
- Experience working with CDW / VISTA / Oracle Health data.
- Expertise in CDW Metadata, data modeling, and CDW query optimization.
- Ability to identify architectural migration patterns and resolve dependencies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide range of VA stakeholders.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Nice to have
- Experience with virtual and/or cloud-based servers.
- Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills.
