Enterprise Data Architect (AI): Defining and evolving enterprise information architecture and reusable data products for modernization, transformation, analytics, and future AI initiatives with an accent on data modeling, governance, interoperability, and cloud platforms. Focus on designing semantic layers, knowledge graphs, data quality frameworks, and scalable information architectures across multiple business domains.

Location: Hybrid role based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with 3–4 days on-site per month. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Define conceptual, logical, canonical, and domain data models for common enterprise business entities.
• Design information architecture incorporating data classification, privacy, security, regulatory, and interoperability requirements.
• Partner with product, engineering, cloud, platform, integration, and data teams to create scalable, reusable enterprise data products.
• Support modernization programs by analyzing legacy systems and developing migration and target-state architecture strategies.
• Establish standards for schemas, interfaces, metadata, catalogs, lineage, observability, data quality, and interoperability.
• Enable future AI use cases through governed data products, semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and natural language access.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in data architecture, information architecture, or enterprise architecture.
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience in data architecture, data engineering, or advanced database design and modeling, including data warehouses, data marts, and MDM.
• At least 5 years of experience with modern data platforms and cloud ecosystems such as Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience supporting large-scale modernization or digital transformation initiatives across multiple domains and stakeholder groups.
• Experience with data quality, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements for sensitive data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Programming, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with unstructured data and modern enterprise information architecture approaches.
• Experience supporting AI and advanced analytics through governed, discoverable, reusable data products.
• Experience with semantic layers, knowledge graphs, natural language access, or other AI-enabling architecture capabilities.
• Public sector, healthcare, or financial services experience.
• Previous experience as a Principal Architect, Enterprise Information Architect, or Solution Architect.
