TL;DR

Infrastructure Engineer (AI/MedTech): Designing and scaling cloud infrastructure to support AI-driven healthcare solutions with an accent on security, compliance, and developer productivity. Focus on automating AWS environments, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining rigorous HIPAA/SOC2 security standards.

Location: Remote within the Continental US; preference for applicants based in or able to work from the New York office (hybrid: Mon-Thu in office, Fri remote).

Compensation: $150,000–$225,000

hirify.global is a well-funded seed-stage startup building an AI-powered platform to simplify the US healthcare system and fight claim denials.

What you will do

  • Accelerate developer operations by exposing API/MCP access while managing costs and security.
  • Optimize the TypeScript monorepo, Nx build system, and Docker-based development workflows.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, caching strategies, and multi-environment deployment automation using Pulumi.
  • Maintain and secure AWS infrastructure, including ECS, Aurora RDS, and VPC networking.
  • Enforce HIPAA compliance through RBAC, encryption, and proactive security monitoring.
  • Enhance system observability and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering.
  • Strong expertise in SaaS administration, MDM solutions, and IT security best practices.
  • Deep understanding of SOC2 and HIPAA compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to build and automate infrastructure through code.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
  • Must be based in the United States.
