Platform Infrastructure Engineer (AWS)

Salary: $190,000 – $225,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Evaluate, select, and own the CI/CD platform while tracking DORA metrics to improve delivery velocity.
• Build on-demand ephemeral preview environments and optimize inner-loop developer workflows.
• Own the full AWS stack (ECS/Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, MSK, DynamoDB) and mature Terraform IaC.
• Maintain the Datadog observability stack and build automation tools to reduce operational toil.
• Manage security and compliance, including container scanning, secrets management, and SOC 2 requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE.
• Deep proficiency with AWS services including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, MSK, and DynamoDB.
• Strong track record of implementing production Terraform for IaC maturity.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms and observability fundamentals.
• Must be based in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience as a founding platform team member.
• Familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, Prisma, or GraphQL.
• Experience with Kafka, Temporal, or Edge/CDN deployments (CloudFront, Cloudflare Workers, Vercel).
• Knowledge of FinOps practices and cost optimization tooling.
