Location: On-site in Boston, MA. Relocation to Boston is required if not already based there.

Salary: $150,000 – $215,000

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend services supporting growth experiments and e-commerce.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-impact features.
• Maintain and optimize API infrastructure utilizing Java, Kafka, and Postgres on AWS.
• Own end-to-end development lifecycles from requirements analysis to deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor junior team members and promote strong engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Professional experience developing large-scale backend systems in production.
• Deep proficiency with RESTful APIs and relational databases like Postgres.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka or SQS).
• Strong testing practices and clear documentation habits.
• Must be able to work on-site in the Boston, MA office.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, experimentation-driven team.

Nice to have

• Experience building A/B testing infrastructure.
