What you will do

• Take full ownership of the developer documentation portal, performing regular audits for accuracy.
• Create high-impact guides for new features while archiving deprecated content to reduce debt.
• Test API documentation against live environments to ensure code snippets work as intended.
• Implement and optimize strategies to leverage AI and automation for real-time content updates.
• Act as the internal expert on ReadMe AI tools and documentation best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers to translate technical specifications into developer-friendly content.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience writing API documentation for RESTful, GraphQL, or similar services.
• Must be based in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or Ontario.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Proficiency in reading code (Python, Java) and using CLI environments, GitHub, and Postman.
• Deep experience with docs-as-code workflows, Markdown, and platforms like ReadMe.
• Ability to distill complex backend logic into simple, actionable guidance.

• Familiarity with LLMs and AI-driven development support tools.
