What you will do

• Partner with the CTO to define and implement foundational AI/ML architecture.
• Build and refine AI-powered product capabilities for production use.
• Guide design decisions with a focus on delivering outstanding user experiences.
• Establish engineering best practices, standards, and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and execute on key platform initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco
• 6+ years of experience as an AI/ML focused software engineer.
• Proven experience building products from the ground up using foundational models.
• Expertise in fine-tuning models and deploying them into production systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.

Nice to have

• Experience with the tech stack: Go, gRPC, Kubernetes, React, TypeScript, AWS, and Terraform.
• Previous experience in an early-stage startup environment.
