What you will do
- Lead the Trust & Safety engineering organization, overseeing multiple product teams and engineering managers.
- Define long-term technical roadmaps in collaboration with Product, AI/ML, and Data leadership.
- Drive excellence in system design for safety-critical platforms including detection, appeals, and identity.
- Partner across Match Group to align on industry trends, regulatory changes, and future-proof capabilities.
- Modernize enforcement and user experiences by integrating measurable and trusted AI-enabled workflows.
- Foster a culture of psychological safety, high engineering standards, and accountability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in distributed systems at scale.
- 2+ years of experience managing engineering managers with a track record of scaling high-performing teams.
- Strong technical judgment in architecture, reliability, and data/ML-adjacent systems.
- Domain expertise in abuse prevention, moderation, identity, or safety-sensitive workflows.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and legal partners.
- Experience operating in high-urgency environments and managing incident responses.
Nice to have
- Experience partnering with AI/ML teams on detection or GenAI-related risk mitigation.
- Background in regulated or safety-sensitive domains like fintech or marketplaces.
- Familiarity with T&S operations, case management, and policy-to-product translation.
