What you will do

• Oversee and lead IT technical support operations for the Vancouver studio production teams.
• Partner with Department Managers and Show Producers to define and manage IT requirements for multiple concurrent projects.
• Solve complex technical escalations involving hardware, operating systems, and specialized VFX software.
• Manage IT inventory, hardware configuration, and software licensing for studio employees.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to support team members.
• Collaborate with global technology teams to ensure consistent service delivery and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of IT support experience within visual effects or broadcast environments.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Advanced proficiency in Windows administration (AD, Intune, SCCM) and cross-platform OS support (Windows, macOS, Ubuntu Linux).
• Strong understanding of color calibration, network hardware, and remote connectivity protocols (RGS/TGX/HP Anywhere).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in Vancouver and accommodate extended hours or weekends during project delivery peaks.

Nice to have

• Experience with visualization and virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.
• Deep knowledge of industry-standard software like Maya, Nuke, Houdini, and Katana.
• Experience supporting Avid Media Composer and Interplay environments.
