TL;DR

Senior Pricing Manager (AI): Driving revenue growth and optimizing pricing strategies for academic products with an accent on AI-driven models and workflow automation. Focus on defining pricing metrics, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering data-driven strategic initiatives to ensure organizational excellence.

Location: Must be based in the UK and able to work from the Milton Park office 3 days per week.

What you will do

  • Lead and execute strategic pricing projects for subscription journals, eBooks, and transformative agreements.
  • Develop and integrate AI algorithms to optimize pricing strategies and predict market trends.
  • Define and automate key pricing performance metrics to enable real-time decision-making.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment by influencing stakeholders across editorial, commercial, and marketing departments.
  • Oversee pricing analytics deliverables and identify risks associated with strategic initiatives.
  • Design automated systems to streamline pricing updates and competitive benchmarking.

Requirements

  • Right to live and work in the UK is mandatory.
  • Proven background in strategic pricing, ideally within niche strategy consulting or an in-house pricing team.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong experience in pricing automation and AI-driven model implementation.
  • Ability to navigate complex international markets and cross-cultural dynamics.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to influence without direct authority.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience within the pricing function of an academic publisher.
