What you will do

• Establish and scale the company's legal and compliance function from the ground up.
• Develop and implement data protection frameworks ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy laws.
• Oversee intellectual property protection, contract management, and complex corporate transactions including fundraising.
• Advise on regulatory risks for consumer-facing wellness mobile products and subscription models.
• Coordinate legal strategy between internal teams and external consultants across European and US markets.
• Implement efficient legal operations and tooling to support business growth.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of post-qualified legal experience.
• Proven track record of at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Deep expertise in corporate governance and commercial law within technology or startup environments.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory risks in data-driven consumer mobile applications, particularly in healthtech.
• Experience managing GDPR and US privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA).
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Nice to have

• Experience scaling legal functions in a Series B or later stage startup.
• Expertise in adopting and implementing legal operations tooling.
