Location: Must be based within commutable distance of Newbury or Edinburgh, United Kingdom, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment.

What you will do

• Assist in the ASIC product development and test process.
• Port ASIC RTL code onto FPGA for pre-Si testing.
• Port systems onto FPGAs to test Proof of Concept architectures and IPs.
• Design test benches on FPGAs for testing mixed-signal devices.
• Interpret requirements into test plans to identify architectural improvements and bugs.
• Contribute to product definition, prototype evaluation, test development & product release to ensure that the ASIC will meet the customers’ requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree (and/or equivalent) and background in Electronics Engineering.
• Familiar with the capabilities of FPGA devices and associated tool flows.
• Experience with hands-on bench testing and debugging of hardware, firmware and software in a system.
• Experience with in-circuit emulators and bus interfaces and analysers.
• Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
• Able to work to tight and variable time scales.

Nice to have

• Experience working in the semiconductor industry.
• Experience in Python scripting.
• Familiarity with DACs/ADCs/DSPs.
