What you will do

• Design and own scalable, resilient OpenStack networking platforms with a focus on Neutron and OVN/OVS.
• Manage virtual networking services including L2/L3, DHCP, metadata, floating IPs, and tenant segmentation.
• Troubleshoot complex control plane and data plane issues, acting as a 3rd/4th line escalation point.
• Drive network automation, provisioning, and recovery using infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible.
• Optimize performance and scalability for latency-sensitive and network-heavy cloud workloads.
• Contribute to upstream OpenStack communities (Neutron, OVN) through code contributions and design discussions.

Requirements

• Strong experience working in large-scale OpenStack environments.
• Specialist knowledge of Neutron (ML2, OVN, Open vSwitch, VLAN/VXLAN/Geneve).
• Expertise in Linux systems administration and networking concepts (routing, namespaces, iptables/nftables).
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and automation with Ansible.
• Experience with high-availability production platforms in mission-critical environments.
• Location: Must be based in the UK
