Salary: $204,000 – $255,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead and grow a diverse team of engineers building critical data infrastructure.
• Define and execute the long-term technical roadmap for the Airbus Control Plane.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data systems with compute, networking, and security platforms.
• Guide architectural decisions and design scalable, sustainable distributed systems.
• Represent the team’s strategy and trade-offs to senior leadership.
• Foster an engineering culture focused on operational rigor, fast-paced delivery, and technical excellence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management experience combined with 8+ years of software development experience.
• Deep expertise in designing and operating distributed systems, databases, or large-scale infrastructure.
• Proven track record of scaling teams and contributing to organizational design.
• Proficiency with at least one major public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure primitives including compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes.
• Must reside in a state where hirify.global has a registered entity.
