Focus on sustaining financial transparency for investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies by managing complex obligations and audits.

Location: São Paulo, Brazil. Hybrid 2–3 times/week

What you will do

• Lead the calculation, accounting, and technical review of direct and indirect taxes.
• Prepare and review explanatory notes for the Effective Tax Rate (ETR) reconciliation.
• Guarantee the flawless delivery of complex obligations such as DES-IF, DCTFWEB, EFD-REINF, EFD-Contribuições, and ECF.
• Act as the focal point for tax inspections and audits, defending Nu’s tax positions and maintaining the SOX control environment.
• Manage Transfer Pricing workflows in partnership with external advisors.

Requirements

• Experience in Effective Tax Rate (ETR) reconciliation.
• Experience with financial institution ancillary obligations.
• Background in internal controls (SOX).
• Tax project management capability.
• A solid degree in Accounting, Law, or related fields.
• Advanced English for reporting or interacting with global teams.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in the banking or payments industry.
• Experience with the implementation of tax automation tools.
