Location: US - Remote Eligible. Must live in a state where hirify.global, Inc. has a registered entity. The role may include occasional work at an hirify.global office or attendance at offsites.

Salary: $204,000 — $255,000 USD

What you will do

• Architect improvements to the existing Bazel installation and remote build/cache infrastructure.
• Set the technical roadmap for software build system reliability and performance.
• Accelerate inner-loop development velocity and CI run-times by resolving build performance bottlenecks.
• Drive organizational alignment on build system investments across multiple teams and technical domains.
• Serve as the technical authority on build systems across hirify.global, setting standards and mentoring senior engineers.
• Partner with Security on optimizing build processes related to base images.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in CS or equivalent.
• Metrics-driven approach to decision-making and a track record for delivering quantifiable impact.
• Expertise in Bazel and concepts such as action graph, dependency analysis, and remote caching.
• Strong ability to review code.
• Driving cross-organizational alignment and decisions for investments.
