Software Development Engineer, Ring (IoT)

Location: Gdansk, Poland

Salary: PLN 19,166 monthly minimum base pay

What you will do

• Build advanced simulation environments and software representations of Ring hardware for firmware development and testing.
• Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with DevX and internal teams to prioritize, design, and build customer-focused solutions.
• Investigate design approaches, prototype technologies, and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Develop tools, data, and infrastructure that improve the developer experience and accelerate delivery to customer devices.
• Enable pre-hardware development and a smooth transition to on-device testing across the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
• Professional experience with at least one modern programming language such as Java, C++, C#, JavaScript, or Python.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design.
• Strong ownership, delivery, self-learning, and curiosity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience taking software products from inception through customer delivery.
• Understanding of scalable, performant, and reliable software design.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and build automation.
