TL;DR

Location: Must be based in Sydney (AU), hybrid role.

What you will do

  • Improve operational risk frameworks, policies, and internal controls.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and provide second-line challenge on new business initiatives.
  • Oversee incident management, perform root-cause analysis, and lead thematic reviews.
  • Enhance and administer the Archer GRC system to ensure reporting integrity and data quality.
  • Strengthen business continuity and operational resilience practices.
  • Prepare insightful reporting and technical support papers for risk committees.

Requirements

  • Must have 3–5+ years of experience in financial services, specifically in operational risk, audit, or controls.
  • Solid understanding of operational risk management, including Basel standards, CPS220, and CPS230.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in incident analysis, control testing, and data interpretation.
  • Hands-on experience with GRC tools (Archer is preferred).
  • Ability to effectively engage stakeholders and provide constructive challenge.
  • Work authorization in Australia is required.
