TL;DR

Security Architect: Leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade security strategies, frameworks, and systems with an accent on architectural decisions and influencing security posture. Focus on protecting the technological environment against current and emerging threats and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and practices.

Location: Onsite in Hampton, VA at Joint Base Langley-Eustis

Salary: $145,000 - $155,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Design and implement robust security architecture aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and cybersecurity professionals to integrate security measures into the SDLC and operational processes.
  • Lead or participate in security incident response planning and investigate security breaches.

Requirements

  • Clearance: TS/SCI required
  • High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience).
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and security technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with STIGs, ACAS, HBSS/Trellix, vulnerability management, and secure configuration baselines.
  • DOD 8140 IAM Level III (CISSP, CISM, CCISO).

Nice to have

  • Adaptability to the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
  • Strategic thinking about security architecture and its alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Experience with DOD networks (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS).
