Focus on collaborating with cross-functional partners to ship new features and improvements and supporting junior engineers through pairing, mentoring, and code reviews.

Location: Must be within a commutable distance to the Austin office, as the role requires being in the office Monday - Wednesday.

Salary: $225,000 - $260,000 a year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain hirify.global application features using GCP services.
• Drive technically complex product features from inception to delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to ship new features and improvements.
• Evaluate and apply AI-based development tools and workflows to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Lead architecture discussions and propose technical solutions.
• Support junior engineers through pairing, mentoring, and code reviews.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience building and shipping production Android applications
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and experience with modern Android development practices
• Experience building UIs using Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based views
• Proven experience designing and maintaining Android application architectures in medium-to-large codebases
• Solid understanding of Android platform fundamentals
• Experience integrating and consuming networked APIs from Android clients
• Must be within a commutable distance to the Austin office.
