What you will do

• Build and ship various ad format experiences (text, image, video, conversational, interactive) on Android.
• Design and maintain shared Android frameworks for ad rendering, media handling, and policy-aware UX patterns.
• Own end-to-end systems including UI architecture, networking, local state, and rendering performance.
• Integrate with Android platform components like media playback, deep links, and app lifecycle behavior.
• Optimize performance for global scale, focusing on load latency, battery usage, and crash-free sessions.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, mentoring, and setting engineering standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant Android ownership.
• Fluency in Kotlin and proficiency with Gradle, Android Studio, and Jetpack Compose.
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality, production-ready Android applications for performance-sensitive flows.
• Experience building polished mobile UI systems or reusable product infrastructure.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with ad formats, creative rendering systems, or mobile monetization.
• Experience with large-scale consumer mobile applications.
• Background in conversational products.
