TL;DR

HR Business Partner (Tech): Scaling the engineering organization through performance management, organizational design, and talent development with an accent on driving clarity and accountability in high-growth environments. Focus on partnering with engineering leaders, managing complex employee relations, and leveraging data to optimize talent processes and organizational health.

Location: Remote within the United States (preference for key hubs: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco).

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 + Stock Options

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary HRBP for the Engineering organization, handling performance management, employee relations, and investigations.
  • Provide practical coaching to engineering leaders to drive clarity, accountability, and team momentum.
  • Lead rigorous talent processes including calibrations, promotions, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze attrition, engagement, and performance data to provide actionable insights for organizational health.
  • Partner with Finance, Recruiting, and People Operations on compensation, leveling, and lifecycle processes.
  • Navigate nuanced people challenges with objectivity and urgency while building trusted relationships across teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HRBP experience within high-growth product or engineering-driven environments.
  • Proven ability to manage complex employee relations and high-stakes talent decisions with sound judgment.
  • Strong experience using performance and engagement data to inform actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to operate with urgency and deliver direct, professional feedback to leadership.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong operational excellence and attention to detail.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Rippling or similar HRIS platforms.
