Senior Data Scientist (Ecommerce): Building the data science function from the ground up for the hirify.global Decision Engine with an accent on predictive modeling, forecasting, and experimentation. Focus on driving strategic decision-making across Finance, GTM, and Product through advanced statistical analysis and production-ready ML models.

Location: Based in or able to travel to Toronto (onboarding at office required).

Compensation: CA$153,161 – CA$169,283

What you will do

• Define and evolve the data science strategy and roadmap in partnership with leadership.
• Build and refine models for revenue forecasting, churn prediction, and scenario planning.
• Improve audience segmentation and customer profiling to enable effective GTM motions.
• Develop and scale experimentation frameworks and A/B testing methodologies.
• Partner with Data Engineering to productionalize high-value models within the hirify.global Decision Engine.
• Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, including C-Suite.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science or a quantitative field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, forecasting, segmentation, and experimental design.
• Experience productionalizing models and working with engineering teams.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and shipping iteratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Background in SaaS, B2B, or e-commerce.
• Familiarity with dbt, BigQuery, or modern analytics engineering workflows.
• Prior experience as a first or early data scientist at a company.
