What you will do

• Design and define Oracle database architecture and schema for high-volume OLTP environments.
• Establish and maintain database scalability, reliability, and performance standards.
• Lead database modernization, migration, and upgrade initiatives including cloud transitions.
• Optimize database performance through tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable database solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to offshore and distributed teams.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX, USA
• Experience with Oracle Database technologies, architecture, schema design, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with high-volume OLTP systems and database migration projects.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance diagnostics tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience collaborating with offshore teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and high availability architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OCI for database deployments.
• Experience with automation, monitoring tools, and DevOps practices.
