TL;DR

SALT-Income and Franchise Tax Manager (Fintech): Delivering tax planning, consulting, and compliance services for multiple clients with an accent on project and engagement management. Focus on state and local tax services, including tax return preparation, tax research, and client counseling during state audits.

Location: Consistent with the firm’s hybrid work model, this position will require in-person attendance at least two days per week, either at a GT office or client site.

Salary: $121,000 - $181,400

What you will do

  • Manage multiple client services teams on engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects across industries.
  • Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients and manage project budgets.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for reviews.
  • Deliver State and Local Tax services including tax return preparation and review, tax research, and client correspondence.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary, multi-state reviews, analyzing various taxes to identify optimal filing options and corporate structures.
  • Consult with clients, make recommendations on business and process improvement, and serve as a business advisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum six years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.
  • Active CPA license, JD with active law license, or Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Can travel as needed.
