Lead Sniper: Building and implementing AI-driven solutions across global departments to accelerate the team with an accent on translating complex accounting workflows into technical requirements. Focus on partnering with Finance Systems, IT, and Data Engineering to co-develop and deploy AI agents from zero to one and ensuring all automated processes are robust and audit-ready.

Location: Hybrid, in-office collaboration for 10+ days a month. For positions that will be based in NY.

Salary: $176,000—$220,000 USD

What you will do

• Develop and implement a strategy for AI tools and automation, translating complex accounting workflows into technical requirements.
• Design scalable financial processes that meet the company’s current needs and future growth, ensuring seamless data flow between AI solutions and core systems like Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• Own the roadmap for transformation projects, breaking down complex initiatives into short weekly sprints.
• Serve as the bridge for hesitant operations teams, diagnosing bottlenecks, building trust, and coaching the team through the transition from manual work to AI-augmented workflows.
• Ensure all automated processes are robust, audit-ready, and fully compliant with US GAAP.
• Manage the Transformation Backlog, deciding what to fix now, what to automate next, and what to stop doing entirely.

Requirements

• CPA is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a background in Big 4 or Management Consulting highly preferred.
• In-depth understanding of core finance processes like Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and how they map to enterprise systems.
• Proven ability to leverage Tier 1 ERPs (Oracle Fusion preferred) and integrate them with third-party tech solutions to transform business processes.
• Expert project management experience with Agile, Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma is a significant plus.
• Willingness to jump into the trenches to execute and unblock bottlenecks.
