TL;DR

Account Executive (AI/ML): Leading end-to-end business development and capture management for high-value contracts within the United States Space Force with an accent on strategic partnership development, proposal planning, and competitive positioning. Focus on securing large-scale mission-critical opportunities through collaborative planning, customer engagement, and technical solution alignment.

Location: Based in Chantilly, VA with remote work flexibility; must be eligible for a Secret level clearance.

What you will do

  • Manage the full business development life-cycle process for multiple simultaneous $50M+ solicitation pursuits.
  • Engage with USSF customers and strategic partners to understand requirements, timing, and acquisition strategies.
  • Lead capture activities including gate reviews, black hat sessions, and competitive assessments.
  • Draft white papers, RFI responses, and final proposal artifacts to drive win probability.
  • Brief capture status and progress to senior management at key milestones.
  • Mentor program staff on capture management best practices and conduct after-action reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience (or Master’s degree and 8+ years) in business development or capture.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret level clearance.
  • Experience leading capture management teams in a virtual environment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with experience briefing executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing and proposal development for large-scale government bids.
  • Deep understanding of USSF or USAF mission requirements and acquisition processes.

Nice to have

  • Proven track record of maturing and closing opportunities with the USSF or USAF.
  • Existing relationships with USSF community decision makers.
  • Experience collaborating directly with technologists to craft customer-centric solutions.
