TL;DR

What you will do

• Define solution designs and evaluate implementation options in collaboration with engineers and third-party partners.
• Design scalable, decoupled architectures to support rapid product development and flexibility.
• Provide technical input into investment decisions and project solution planning.
• Champion modern engineering practices and resilient, secure-by-design architecture.
• Promote architectural best practices and quality standards across engineering teams.

Requirements

• Must be able to work hybrid 2 days per week in London (Paddington).
• Strong experience designing scalable, distributed cloud architectures (AWS preferred).
• Proven ability to influence and work effectively with third-party technology providers.
• Understanding of financial services products or similar regulated environments.
• Self-motivated with the ability to drive progress in complex, evolving technical environments.
• Strong understanding of how technology enables business change.

Nice to have

• Experience in cloud-native product organizations.
• Background in enterprise software environments.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience with developer platforms and tooling such as Terraform or CDK.
• Exposure to large-scale consumer systems or open-source technologies.
