Location: Hybrid, 40% (two days) in London, Edinburgh or Bristol office sites.

Salary: £90,000–£123,000

What you will do

• Lead architectural decisions for the Markets / Investment Banking area and a small team.
• Guide and support Markets teams in developing and delivering strategic roadmaps.
• Represent business needs to Group Enabling Platforms for technology alignment.
• Build relationships with platforms, functions, and third-party vendors.
• Shape business propositions, vendor products, and industry partnerships.
• Work in an agile environment on complex and high-impact challenges.

Requirements

• Breadth of experience in architecture, preferably in financial services, Markets/Investment banking.
• High-level understanding of cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong experience in shaping and leading architectural outcomes for a mid to large organisation.
• Good technology knowledge across domain-driven design, API and event-based architectures, microservices, hybrid cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, modern data paradigms, cyber security, resilience, and sustainability.
• Awareness of emerging technologies like GenAI, their maturity, and business applications.
• Experience working in established, complex organisations with large customer bases.
