What you will do

• Lead a small team and be accountable for architectural decisions within Markets and Investment Banking.
• Design clear and actionable architectures to strengthen client offerings and business outcomes.
• Guide and support teams in developing and delivering strategic roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
• Build trusted relationships across platforms, functions, and third-party vendors.
• Represent business interests in collaboration with Group Enabling Platforms to ensure aligned technology delivery.
• Work in an agile environment on complex, high-impact challenges requiring leadership and problem solving.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid with office presence in London, Edinburgh, or Bristol, UK
• Breadth of experience in architecture, preferably in financial services or Markets/Investment banking.
• High-level understanding of cloud architecture (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP experience desirable).
• Strong experience in leading architectural outcomes in mid to large organizations.
• Good knowledge of domain-driven design, API/event-based architectures, microservices, DevOps, CI/CD, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
• Awareness of emerging technologies such as GenAI and their business applications.
