TL;DR

Payroll & Implementation Specialist (Finance/Payroll): Leading global payroll projects and transformation initiatives including system implementations, vendor transitions, and M&A integrations with an accent on process mapping, data readiness, and compliance. Focus on building scalable payroll operations, enhancing audit readiness, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure seamless global pay experiences.

Location: Hybrid (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, Sydney) - expectation to be in office minimum twice per week in these locations.

Salary: $105,600 – $158,400 CAD.

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end global payroll projects including migrations, vendor transitions, and system upgrades.
  • Manage discovery, requirements gathering, and process mapping for payroll and benefits-related changes.
  • Partner with HRIS, Total Rewards, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure compliant operational adoption.
  • Support payroll processing and validations to identify risks, control gaps, and improve overall outcomes.
  • Strengthen payroll documentation, internal controls, and audit readiness across systems and vendor workflows.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, implementations, or global transformations.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll controls, reconciliation, variance analysis, and compliance-focused process design.
  • Proven project management skills with ability to coordinate complex cross-functional workstreams.
  • Experience with payroll platforms such as CloudPay, Remote, or Workday integrations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and project ownership.
  • Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI to elevate professional craft.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with CloudPay, Remote, or Workday HRIS integrations.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale system upgrades or benefit vendor transitions.
  • Expertise in UAT, parallel runs, and go-live hypercare support.
  • Background working across multiple countries and complex global payroll models.
  • Professional certifications in payroll compliance or project management.
