Director Of Engineering, Integrations (Fintech): Leading the Integrations team and architecting robust integration solutions across the Google Chrome Extension, on-premise desktop application, and practice management systems (PIMS) integrations portfolio with an accent on scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Focus on driving technical strategy for Cloud-based, On-prem, and API integrations and integrating AI and agentic workflows into the integrations platform.

Location: Accepting applicants across the US & worldwide, must be available from 7am - 12pm PST regardless of locale for normalized overlap hours. For those who prefer a hybrid model, there is an office space in Pasadena available for use.

Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 (range driven by experience & location)

What you will do

• Define and evolve the technical architecture for the integrations platform.
• Establish architectural patterns and best practices for integration development.
• Drive technical strategy for Cloud-based, On-prem, and API integrations.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 7-8 engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
• Own the roadmap and delivery of integration features and new API partnerships.
• Drive the integration of AI and agentic workflows into the integrations platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a significant focus on integrations, APIs, or platform engineering.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience, leading teams of 5-10 engineers.
• Deep expertise in API design and development (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, authentication/authorization patterns).
• Strong architectural skills with experience designing scalable integration platforms.
• Experience with browser extension development (Chrome/Firefox) and understanding of extension architecture and limitations.
• Background in desktop application development, ideally with on-premise deployment experience.

Nice to have

• Experience working in Agile or fast-paced, high-growth engineering environments.
• Background in enterprise software and working with large customers.
• Experience building developer-facing products or APIs.
• Understanding of compliance requirements (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
