What you will do
- Craft, place, and tweak light sources to achieve desired mood and atmosphere across various environments.
- Set up lighting rigs, manage light bakes, optimize performance, and handle volumetric lighting.
- Collaborate with level designers and environmental artists to ensure visual consistency and guide players.
- Identify project needs and communicate effectively with leads and managers.
- Apply post-processing effects like color grading and bloom to enhance visuals.
- Ensure high visual quality within technical constraints of target hardware.
Requirements
- Must have 2+ years of professional experience as a Lighting Artist in the video game industry.
- Strong portfolio/demo reel showcasing lighting proficiency for video games (submission required).
- Experience with lighting pipelines beyond Unreal Engine and Unity is a plus.
- Knowledge of Maya, Houdini, and Unreal Engine is beneficial.
